A Moving Meditation ! Beautiful! Thank you Rodrigo Souza | Adaptive & Accessible Yoga Teacher
Rodrigo Souza | Adaptive & Accessible Yoga Teacher - I know it can feel impossible to create yoga classes, meditations, and courses that reflect every person’s unique lived experience.
But for many disabled folks, inclusion isn’t about perfection. It’s about feeling seen.
It’s about hearing language that acknowledges their reality and practices that invite them in, rather than reminding them they were never considered in the first place.
One of the most powerful ways we can adapt a practice is through the words we choose.
Language shapes experience.
The way we name something can create belonging… or quietly reinforce exclusion.
Sometimes inclusion requires changing our methods.
Other times, it simply asks us to shift our perspective.
A small change in language can open a door that many people have spent their lives finding closed.
So here’s a question for you:
If some of your students were wheelchair users, how would you name a practice traditionally called “Walking Meditation”?
I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts. 🤗
Wishing you all a beautiful weekend.
Plenty of love ♥️
Rodrigo 🌱

✨ Help Us Find the Perfect Home for an Accessible Yoga Retreat in Europe! ✨
We’re excited to begin planning an Accessible Yoga Retreat in Europe for Summer 2027—and we’d love your help.
We’re looking for a beautiful, welcoming, and truly accessible venue where people of all abilities can gather, connect, and practice yoga together. Accessibility is at the heart of this retreat, so we’re especially seeking places that are wheelchair-friendly and designed to welcome all bodies.
Do you know a retreat centre, hotel, eco-lodge, or unique venue anywhere in Europe that could be a good fit?
Please share your recommendations in the comments or send us a message. Your suggestion might help us create a retreat where everyone feels seen, supported, and included.
Together, let’s create a retreat for every body. 💛
Donna & Rodrigo ♥️
In the end, it’s your body and your practice.
- DO YOGA EVERYDAY… or don’t.
Be honest, how often do you practice?
