If you’re on a GLP-1 and suddenly seeing WAY more hair in the shower… 😳 this does NOT automatically mean your follicles are permanently damaged.

One of the most confusing things about rapid weight-loss-related shedding is the delay. The shedding you’re experiencing TODAY may be connected to a metabolic stressor that happened 2–4 months ago.

And yes—regrowth takes time. 🌱

Once the underlying stressor stabilizes, shedding may gradually slow, early regrowth can become noticeable over the following months, and density may continue improving over time.

BUT 👀 every case of hair loss shouldn’t automatically be blamed on a GLP-1.

Persistent, patchy, painful, inflamed, or unusual hair loss deserves a proper evaluation—especially because rapid shedding can sometimes uncover another form of hair loss.

And please don’t stop or change your medication because of shedding alone. Discuss medication decisions with your prescribing provider and have the hair loss evaluated separately.
