Meet Your Interstitium, a Newfound "Organ" 05/27/2025

Working with fluid in the body, Lymphatic and interstitial fluid, is integral to all of my sessions. Fluid moving with ease = health, vitality, fluid not moving with ease = stiffness, aches, pain, poor ROM, poor brain health, swelling, and so much more.

Working with this 'Newfound Organ' is a back door to helping restore lymphatic flow to an area of the body that has been impacted or compromised in some way.

Meet Your Interstitium, a Newfound "Organ" These fluid-filled spaces were found in the body’s connective tissue

Practice the Power of the Long Exhale 10/12/2024

Part of pain recovery often involves learning how to connect with our inner world, learning how to reconnect with parts of our body that have become numb or isolated. Fight or flight often can still be present in our nervous systems, waiting for us to reset. This breathing technique is one tool to help center and ground us.

This guided breathing exercise is offered by Georgina Miranda, mountaineer, athlete, activist, and entrepreneur, in the context of sports. It is an excellent centering technique to use anytime. Connecting to our bodies helps us process so much we are not aware of, it supports our physiology, helping us recover from falls, injuries and so many challenges in life. Try it!

Practice the Power of the Long Exhale Breathe into challenging movement with a longer exhale, whether that be hitting laps on the stairs, running, hiking, climbing, or a high intensity workout.

Meniscus Pain - getting that spring back in your step. — Acute Injury Massage Meniscus pain can be a showstopper, as with most kinds of knee pain. The meniscus is a piece of cartilage that acts as a cushion between the shin and thigh bones, each knee has two menisci. In two separate instances, I’ve seen meniscus pain relieved by releasing the origin of the pain which reside...

The benefits of good posture 11/20/2020

I don't spend a lot of time in front of a computer, maybe an hour here and there at any given day at work. I recently added a separate screen to my work space that sits at eye level. What a difference! I'm realizing how much I was sitting in some form of slumped posture, always looking down at my screen. I feel more alert, awake, I'm aware of my upright posture and I feel more energetic for clients. What does your workspace look like? Good posture helps us age gracefully.

The benefits of good posture Has anyone ever told you, "Stand up straight!" or scolded you for slouching at a family dinner? Comments like that might be annoying—but they're not wrong. Your posture is the foundation for every movement your body makes and can determine how well your body adapts to the stresses on it. Murat Dal...
