Two different days, two different looks. Same girl, same dreams, same goals. I’m known for wearing a full face of makeup daily. Not because I feel like I have to but because I simply love makeup. I also have. When I was little I would sneak into my sisters’ rooms and steal their makeup (sorry Jess and Stace 😄). I was mixing eyeshadow colors in the 7th grade to get my perfect blend of my own “custom colors”. I love the creativity of it. I love the artistry of it. I love the way it makes me feel because yes I do feel more confident with it. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love being fresh faced because I do. Since I wear makeup daily to work I spend most of my weekends with nothing on. Neither is right. Neither is wrong. Is simply an expression of yourself in that moment.

Hey there momma I see you. The 8-5 mom, the stay at home mom, the mom who works 2 jobs. Yes I see you. I see the effort you’re putting in and the sacrifices you’re making. I see you hanging your head at the end of the day going over situations in your head thinking you could have done so much better. I see you waking up early to make pancakes just because you’re kids requested them the night before. I see you pumping in bathrooms, making easy Mac for the 10 billionth time or cutting up those veggies hoping for the best. Just know you’re not alone. You’re doing better than you think and you’re appreciated.

I went back to work today from maternity leave. With it being my third baby I knew how to handle it but it doesn’t make it any better. It sucks. Flat out sucks. But here I am slinging out breast milk *open photo to see evidence* at work doing what I gotta do.

Growing up I never had big career goals. I figured I would be a teacher because I didn’t know what else to do. The one thing I knew I wanted was to be a mom. I’ve always held a job for the paycheck never for the passion (side note my 8-5 is in the medical field and definitely not teaching). Other than being a mom the other passion I’ve always had was in beauty. I’ve always been obsessed with all things hair, makeup and skincare. And while only new I’m so grateful Younique has given me the chance to share my passion with you all. This is something I always wanted to do but couldn’t find something that fit until now. I get to see and interact with all these amazing women who provide for their families from Younique. I started this because my husband told me to. He said “I think you’ll be good at it. And worst case scenario if you don’t like it then you got a bag of products for $99”. And to be honest I was going to spend the money on the products anyways so I figured I might as well get the discount. I decided to start slow because this is my opportunity and I can put as much or as little into that I want. And if someday I get to join these boss babes and work Younique full time and stay home with my babies then that would just be icing on top of the cake.
