Quiero compartir con ustedes una noticia importante.

A principios de esta semana recibí un correo electrónico del propietario del edificio donde se encuentra el salón, informándonos que debemos desocupar el local antes del 31 de agosto. Debido a esta decisión, mi salón cerrará en su ubicación actual.

Esta noticia no fue una sorpresa total, ya que el edificio fue vendido hace más de cinco años y sabíamos que, tarde o temprano, este momento llegaría. Aunque no es la manera en que imaginaba que terminaría esta etapa, me siento profundamente agradecida por la lealtad, el apoyo y la confianza que nos han brindado a lo largo de los años.

Continuaremos atendiendo a nuestros clientes durante el mes de agosto y cerraremos unos días antes del 31 de agosto. (Todavía no tengo una fecha exacta). Estoy explorando cuáles serán mis próximos pasos y les mantendré informados en cuanto tenga más información sobre dónde continuaremos trabajando en el futuro.


Gracias de todo corazón por su apoyo incondicional. Esperamos verlos muy pronto y poder seguir atendiéndolos dondequiera que nos lleve esta nueva etapa.

I wanted to share an important update with all of you.

Earlier this week, I received an email from the owner of the salon building, informing us that we must vacate the building by August 31st. Because of this decision, my salon will be closing at its current location.

This news didn’t come as a total surprise since the building was bought over five years ago and we knew it would eventually happen. While it’s not the way I envisioned this chapter ending, I am incredibly grateful for your loyalty, support, and trust over the years.

We will continue seeing clients through August, and will close a few days before the 31st. (I don’t have an exact date yet.) We would love the opportunity to see you before then. I am also exploring my next steps and will keep everyone updated as soon as I have more information about where I’ll/we’ll be working in the future.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you soon and hope to continue serving you wherever this next journey takes us.

Quiero compartir con ustedes sobre mi ausencia prolongada del salón.

Como muchos de ustedes saben, sufrí un accidente el 25 de abril que provocó que un tendón de mi pulgar se desprendiera del hueso. Me sometí a una cirugía para reparar la lesión el 12 de mayo y me encontraba en proceso de recuperación. Sin embargo, el 6 de junio mi pulgar comenzó a mostrar signos de infección y comencé un tratamiento con antibióticos.

Desafortunadamente, la infección empeoró y el 12 de Junio tuve que someterme a una cirugía de emergencia. Pasé ese fin de semana en el hospital recibiendo antibióticos por vía intravenosa. Cuando mi doctora retiró los vendajes y las gasas unos días después, quedó claro que mi cuerpo no estaba respondiendo al tratamiento como se esperaba, por lo que tuve que someterme a una segunda cirugía ese mismo día para eliminar la infección restante. (15 de Junio) Pase 6 días en el hospital.

En este momento, mis médicos están supervisando de cerca mi recuperación y aún no tengo una fecha estimada para saber cuándo estaré lo suficientemente recuperada para regresar al trabajo de manera segura. Aunque extraño mucho estar detrás de la silla y verlos a todos, mi prioridad en este momento es sanar adecuadamente para evitar más complicaciones.

Lamento sinceramente cualquier inconveniente que esta situación pueda causar y agradezco profundamente su paciencia, comprensión y apoyo durante este momento difícil. Los mantendré informados a medida que tenga más noticias sobre mi recuperación y una posible fecha de regreso al trabajo.

Dear Clients,

I wanted to give you an update regarding my extended absence from the salon.

As many of you know, I had an accident on April 25th that caused a tendon in my thumb to tear away from the bone. I underwent surgery to repair the injury on May 12th and was in the process of recovering. However, on June 6th, my thumb began showing signs of infection, and I started a course of antibiotics.

Unfortunately, the infection worsened, and on June 12th (Friday) I had to undergo emergency surgery. I spent that weekend in the hospital receiving IV antibiotics. When my doctor removed the bandages and gauze a few days later, it became clear that my body was not responding to treatment as hoped, and I had to undergo a second surgery that same day (Monday, the 15th) to remove infection, again. I spent 6 days in the hospital.

At this time, my doctors are closely monitoring my recovery, and I do not yet have a timeline for when I will be healed enough to safely return to work. As much as I miss being behind the chair and seeing all of you, my focus right now needs to be on healing properly to avoid further complications.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your patience, understanding, and support during this difficult time. I will keep everyone updated as I learn more about my recovery and return-to-work date.
