👋🏻 LET’S TALK EXTENSIONS!

One method does NOT fit everyone. Your hair type, lifestyle, maintenance level and even sensory tolerance all matter! 👇🏼

🤎 HAND-TIED

Best for: Medium-thick hair + lots of length/fullness.

PROS: Lightweight, no glue or tape, natural looking and versatile.

CONS: You will feel the beaded rows on your scalp. If you have sensory issues or frequent migraines, this probably isn’t for you. Washing/drying takes more work and they must be completely blow-dried.

⏰ Move-ups: 5–8 weeks

🤍 TAPE-INS

Best for: Thin/fine hair.

PROS: Flat, lightweight, seamless, comfortable and quick to install.

CONS: Not great if you have sensory issues or you’re a picker. Updos can be trickier and I don’t recommend them for very thick hair. Must be completely blow-dried after washing.

⏰ Move-ups: 6–8 weeks

✨ K-TIPS + MICRO K-TIPS

Best for: Fine/baby-like hair, thinning sides, alopecia, fullness and my low-maintenance girlies!

PROS: Extremely lightweight and generally undetectable. Bonds can be as tiny as a grain of rice and don’t sit directly against the scalp—making them a great option for sensory issues!

⏰ Last approximately 3–4 months!

CONS: Hair cannot be reused, so new hair is purchased with each install. They also need to be brushed thoroughly multiple times a day.

👑 TOPPERS

Best for: Thinning/hair loss on the top or crown.

PROS: Custom fitted, seamless and gives beautiful coverage and fullness.

CONS: They’re an investment and aren’t permanent. With regular wear, expect to replace your topper approximately once a year.

✨ BOTTOM LINE: Just because you want a certain extension method doesn’t mean it’s the best one for your hair!

We got ✨new✨ toners in the salon on Friday and I used one on this glowing beauty! I was in a state of “WOW!” For the rest of her service 😂

Backstory, my client was curling her hair one day and noticed a sizzle that her iron made and then smelled the result 😭 Her iron had shorted out and burnt her beautiful blonde hair.

No fear! She babied it until her next appointment and I spot treated the wounded areas.
She’s pretty lax about me trying new toners and formulas and I was eager to try our new toners.
Never again will I tone a Total Blonde without these. I took her after picture and said, “omg, your hair is literally glowing in my picture!”😍

My girl had did an all over color at home and decided she needed dimension. A full highlight can and will look differently on every shade of hair color. This service gave her a sun-kissed glow and added much needed brightness and shine.

One thing about me is I L O V E a good refresh!

She desired brighter blonde, yet adores a soft grow out. I like to incorporate babylights all over for services like this. Does it take me a little longer? Yes. It’s tedious but the results are so worth it and the grow out is subtle.

IGK Hair Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Smoothing Heat Protectant Spray

What does it do?
It’s a heat activated styler that mimics the results of a Keratin treatment, with 4 day frizz control and heat protection up to 450° (but we’re not using hot tools that high, are we? 🤨)

How do you use it?

You can spray over damp hair in sections and blow dry OR use it on dry hair as a Heat protectant from hot styling tools.

Why do I love it?

It smells like vanilla cupcakes and it doesn’t leave a cast on my hair. It’s safe to use daily and won’t leave a film on your hair. Did I mention it smells like vanilla cupcakes?!

IGK made a home run with this one!

Enhancing her color and removed some length ✨

My client wanted a little bit more lowlight but still wanted those blonde babylight pops throughout. I utilize my clients natural color and add some depth and shine throughout. Sometimes, a root smudge isn’t necessary.

My client is lower maintenance and wanted something that would grow out seamlessly, incorporating her natural color but enhanced.

I did a full lowlight AND added a few pops on bright blonde to make sure she had the dimension and depth she was seeking. Gorgeous!
