Did you know that mineral and/or product build up can cause breakage?

Malibu Crystal Gel treatments are the best for detoxing your hair and achieving a clean slate.

Yeahhhhhhhhh Babyyyyyyyy.

We
made
it to
FRIDAY!

I’m extra excited about today because I get to take my son to his first concert🖤

They release 2 albums last year and Bane knows every song by heart.
These tickets were my birthday gift and I love sharing it with Banejo.

Live music makes my heart happy and it’s been over 2 years since we have stepped foot in a venue.

Truth is…I’m playing hooky when I should be home wrapping presents 🙅🏼‍♀️ Santa’s got another week 😅

Riding the wave 🌊

I always use a 1” curling iron to create waves that will last for days.

My biggest tip is don’t touch the curl right away. Curl your whole head and then at the very end spray with a workable hairspray, add some No.7 on your hands and comb through and separate the set curls. You can also take a wide tooth comb or wet brush if you want a more softer wave.

Jessica is getting the best of both worlds with her new “Bronde”

This is the ultimate low maintenance color for a guest that wants to feel blonde but not have the up keep of blonde.

What’s a immediate giveaway that your stylist isn’t improving on their skills and education?

…just scroll down their grid.

Take a peek at their work from a year ago on their social media. If you don’t notice a difference…that’s a 🚩🚩🚩🚩

It’s even a bigger red flag if they don’t interact with social media for their business. For you as the consumer, it’s the fastest most convenient way to get a snapshot of the stylists style and personality.

A lot of education in this industry is on virtual platforms, which brings education right to our fingertips. We can advance our skills or techniques whenever we have the desire to.

I always love looking back on past pictures. It shows how much I have grown as a stylist and continue to grow for my guests. I am the most competitive with myself.

Side note: who would have ever thought I would have to even work on photography skills?! 🤪

Any guesses on how much I have invested in my growing my profession this year?

When I say transformation… I mean TRANSFORMATION.

We started at blonde…

…then copper

…added some 20s” extensions and…

💥 BOOM! Smokin hot momma.

I absolutely love this new color on her. Can you believe that she has never been copper?

It’s always fun to catch up when this pretty comes into town for a visit.
lives in The Windy City but travels to the mitten to visit her family.

…but the stretch in between appointments has us leaning towards a low maintenance blonde.

Her appointment was about 4 hours. We started with a Malibu detox treatment. Then I added peaks and valleys of light and dark which gives her ribbons of dimension. I also smudge her highlights to help extend her time between being in my chair.

Her skin tone is made for a beautiful buttery blonde. Especially in the winter, when her skin tone is less “sun-kissed.”

I also have her started on an Olaplex regimen at home. A lot like skin care, this season is the perfect time to get your hair in shape for spring/summer blonding sessions 💛

Disclosure: This is all her natural hair🤩 😍

She has had her hand-tied wefts for 7 months! With professional products and correct maintenance we can get around 9-10 months out of your initial hair purchase.

Other factors that will shorten your hair life are air drying too frequently and not frequently brushing your extensions.

This is her last session before we reinstall new hair for her in January. To adjust with her “winter” blonde color we added customized lowlights through her extensions.

Note to self:
Hair extensions are real hair. You will still have to trim and treat your locks. With trims, you may lose up to 2” of your total length. So keep that in mind when you are ordering your hair. You may want to go a little longer to keep that length for months ✨
