I’m finally letting myself ask for help. 🤎
If you know me, you know that my business Been Her Aesthetics has never just been a business to me. It’s something I’ve worked hard to build, and it’s something I’ve carried with me through some major changes in my life.
I moved to a new state with my family and when I moved, I brought my dream with me.
Now I’m working to rebuild B.H.A. here in Jacksonville and open the doors to the next chapter of my business.
But getting a business established from the ground up takes more than passion.
I need to invest in professional skincare products, equipment, supplies, space preparation, insurance, booking technology, marketing, and the things that will allow me to create the kind of experience I envision for my clients.
So I created a GoFundMe
And asking for help isn’t easy for me, I honestly despise it. But…
I’m used to figuring things out, making it work, and being there for everybody else. I’m learning that sometimes allowing people to support you is part of building something, too.
My goal isn’t just to open a business. I want to build something stable enough to create more balance for me and my family while doing work that I genuinely love.

POV: You wake up one day and realize… there’s still SO much about skin you don’t know. 😭🧖🏽♀️📚
And instead of feeling defeated, I decided to do something about it.
I went back to studying. I started organizing what I was learning. I started connecting the dots between the skin, ingredients, treatments, conditions, contraindications, and actually knowing WHY we do what we do.
And somehow… that turned into a 4-VOLUME SKIN CARE SERIES. 📚✨
Not because I think I know everything — but because I believe a great esthetician should always be a student of the skin.
I created this series for newer estheticians who may feel overwhelmed by everything they’re expected to know. The goal is to make the information easier to understand, easier to apply, and easier to build upon as you grow.
Because getting your license is just the beginning.
