My heart is so overjoyed and so full after our grand opening this weekend 🥹🤍

I truly can’t thank you all enough for showing up, supporting me and my team, and celebrating the growth of For the Curls Jax — your Jacksonville curly hair salon. Having you there meant more to me than you know. And for my family to travel from Alabama to share this special moment with me…I’m in tears.

Being able to dedicate this space to Jesus in prayer before the ribbon cutting is a moment I will carry with me forever.

Marilyn’s personal hair journey is what brought her here, and you can feel that the second you sit in her chair. She genuinely cares about helping you embrace your natural beauty and feel confident in your curls.

She’s all about healthy, beautiful curls through intentional scalp care and overall hair wellness. As a certified hair spa specialist, her appointments are super calming, thoughtful, and focused on taking care of you just as much as your hair.

She’s also bilingual, which we LOVE, and it allows her to connect with and serve even more of our curly community.

And yes… she’s your Saturday girl 👏🏽
So if weekends are your only time, she’s got you.

She’s big on faith, family, and bringing that same love and intention into every appointment.

Also… quick warning 😂 don’t go bowling with her unless you’re ready to lose 🎳 and if there’s seafood involved, she’s already saying yes.

Our Brooklyn-born, Nuyorican beauty with a heart for faith, family, and curls.

After restoring her own natural hair, Jess found her purpose in helping others embrace theirs. Now a Curly Hair Specialist and Trichologist here in Northeast Florida, she’s all about helping you understand your hair, care for it properly, and walk out feeling confident every single time.

A few fun things about Jess…
She’s a fashionista on a budget, sings on her church’s worship team 🎶, and if there’s shopping involved (especially Amazon), she’s already there 😂

Favorite foods? Puerto Rican dishes and NY pizza — because Brooklyn never leaves you.

Vulnerable moment… looking at these photos has my eyes watery with overwhelming joy. This is my dream. This is what I worked so hard for. And even more than that… this is what I prayed for.

It’s wild to think that this time last year I was only booked out one week. Yes… one week. And now, to be booked so far out that I needed help to reach all the curls in Jacksonville… it truly feels like a miracle. Only the Lord could take something small, grow it under pressure, and turn it into something this beautiful and special to my heart.

Jess & Marilyn, I am beyond grateful for you both. I’m so excited to walk alongside you and see what the Lord is going to do in your lives. Where two or more are gathered, He is in the midst — and I just know this is going to be so incredibly blessed.

Here’s to my business baby growing, blooming, and becoming something even more magical than I ever imagined 🥹🩷✨
