Who am I?
"I have reeds, lots of keys, and I'm made of wood... even though most people think I'm metal."
Answer in the comments.

Before band practice things can get pretty hectic especially for the first timers.
5 minutes before your child leaves all the rushing around happens.
“Where’s my instrument?”
“I think I need reeds!”
“It was working yesterday!”
💡Parent tip: A quick check the night before can save a rushed morning.
Does this chaos sound familiar to some of you?

Band Parent Classic Line: “I have no idea what happened…”
Meanwhile… there’s a brand-new dent
Parents: Don't worry we hear it all the time. But what we want you to really know is if something looks or sounds different, it’s best to get it checked sooner rather than later. We don't judge, we've seen a lot over the years.
Have you heard I don't know what happened line before from your band kid? 👀

Where is your instrument spending the summer?
❓The trunk of a car.
❓An attic.
❓A garage.
❓Your bedroom closet.
Those are some of the toughest environments for an instrument because heat and humidity can damage pads, corks, finishes, and even affect how an instrument plays.
If your instrument is taking a summer break, make sure it's stored somewhere climate-controlled.

– Keys or valves aren’t moving smoothly
– Sound isn’t coming out like it used to
If you’re wondering… it’s usually worth getting it checked.
For our more experienced band parents, have you ever waited too long? What advice do you have for beginner band parents?
