MY NEW SEAT for Tori Amos

hanks to a dear friend who gifted me a ticket, I’m seeing Tori Amos tonight at Ryman Auditorium! I’ll do my best to get multiple twirls in, but it’ll depend on the mood she sets tonight.

When I started the third season of Hyperactive Ghost’s podcast, I couldn’t have possibly known the things that would happen after starting it – and being on the other side of all of that gives me an incredible amount of growth.

The significance of seeing her now is that those who have read the messy AbsolutionFest 2023 articles know that the thing that was being held over my head was that That Guy had tickets to take me to see Tori for her historic “Under the Pink” tour.

The decision I made that night was one where I was trying to not be so selfish, but he attacked me, anyway. Think I’ve always felt as though I would’ve been able to see her more up close if that had not happened.

I had, essentially, a couple of breaks in 2 months of no music. It’s two months of silence, looking back at it….but what a gift for my favorite artist of all time to bring me out of that silence and back into what feels like a life.

But I also learned things about myself that were essential if I was going to move forward in my plans for my future.

I will talk about that growth in an upcoming post that I mentioned to my subscribers, which will arrive exactly when it’s ready.

Good things around the corner are really making me feel like life—when you throw your back into problem-solving and you’re a giant, smart nerd—can turn around in 24 hours.

I can’t yap about what I’m doing, but I can get myself a Banana Puddin’ Lette and a sammich at Verna Café. It’s behind the Buffalo, so folks pop over there when we’re tired!
