I had two really cool surprises today! 😎 Thank you to everyone who voted me Best Hairstylist and Best Stylist for 2024 🥹❤️ I’ve been picking up Folio Weekly since I was a kid so it’s fun to be a part of it like this. I appreciate the love! 🥰❤️

Here are some guidelines for your appointments at Prism:

If you or someone around you hasn’t been feeling well, reschedule your appointment. If you arrive and are not feeling well, I will reschedule it for you.

No walk ins at this time. Appointments only please!

No guests at this time when coming to your appointment. We have a very small space and want everyone to be comfortable.

You may need to wait in your car if we are not ready for you due to occupancy and cleanliness. Please wash your hands when you arrive. We need at least 15 minutes between each client for sanitation.

Masks must be worn by us and you for the time being. I will be minimizing the amount of blow drying I do for the rest of the month.

Appointments at this time will be limited time frames meaning color touch ups may not be as extensive due to the hours that processing can take if doing a color correction or full balayage.

If you need to reschedule due to any of these guidelines, we can.

Thank you to everyone who’s hit me up about the salon. We’re working hard to open back up! Stay tuned ✨

The following is extremely important if you are a client of mine or would like to be.

If you have an appointment with me over the next three weeks, I will try to take care of you still but I will be reaching out if I haven’t already. We are having to do some very serious and unexpected renovations to our salon. A complete renovation, actually. Until everything is back to normal, the space is completely unable to accommodate clients. Which brings me to my next point.

If anyone has any ties to Blair/Mimosas because of me formerly renting from those companies, feel free to sever them. 930 Edgewood Ave S is no longer either of those businesses. We are no longer associated in any way whatsoever. Instead of going to Murray Hill’s Halloween parade on Sunday I show up to find our salon completely gutted. I worked Saturday. We paid rent Saturday. Our products and supplies were thrown in trash bags and “moved” to “the new salon” that neither of us have keys to and without notice.

I told our former salon leaseholder that I didn’t feel comfortable moving to a new salon.
Leslie didn’t even get a chance to talk to him about it. This decision to disconnect is definitely the hard route and having to pause our livelihood is not the desired current situation. But continuing business with someone who is negligent on paying the bills (which ended in him having his lease terminated) is not a future we want a part of. It’s too unstable and there is too much at stake.

MOVING FORWARD, Leslie Raspa and I will be taking over the lease and starting over. We won’t be leaving our salon behind and will be reopening as soon as possible. I appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding and support during this time. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to either of us. Thank you.
