Growing up near the ocean as a kid we went there often. It was a wonderful part of my childhood experience. It was also one the scariest part of my childhood experiences, as me and 3 other siblings almost lost our lives in the massive body of water. It was strangers who rescued us that day and we never got to meet or even say thank you to them. Everything happen so quickly, I remember seeing the shore go further and further away, feeling helpless.

As I sit and think about that day, it brung up another thought. In life you can be having the most amazing time, and with one blink of an eye you can end up in the clutches of death. During that moment you will feel scared, panicked, helpless, and drowning. You will be fighting tirelessly to survive with everything in you. Then out of nowhere, you feel hands reach in and grab you, pull you out of the troubled waters to safety.

Sometime after being rescued, me and my siblings shared our individual experiences. It was at that time I found out that one of my siblings floated to shore to tell my mom. My other sibling who knew how to swim, shared how he was holding on to my other sibling, and once he got to me I panicked and pushed him under water. My other sibling shared how he loss consciousness and went under. My mother shared how she shouted out to God to not take her babies from her. We all shared how these strangers saw all of this and set out to rescue us.

There are times we believe we are drowning and there is no way out. Little do we know that the Most High God is strategizing our rescue. While we are panicking, He is pulling together the right people and circumstances to step in and bring us to safety.

On that day, we experienced God in a way that we will never forget. His angels took charge and we are here today because of it. God saw fit to save us. He is the same God today that He was on that day. He sees when we are drowning, we are fighting to survive, and also when we tirelessly giving up. At that moment, before our last breath, we feel His hand grabbing us and bringing us back to safety. We were rescued by strangers on that day, but I like to believe they were Angels. GOD is always watching over us, believe that. I have purpose, you have purpose, we have purpose and I am grateful for being here.
