Hunter Wilson, Cosmetic Tattoos

A couple work in progress pieces from this week. Neither of these are finished quite yet, but I was too excited not to share the progress.

On the first piece, we still have shading to add, the pearls to finish, some red hues in the gemstone, and final white highlights. The second piece just needs a little more shading before we fully saturate it with color. Unfortunately it’ll be a little while before we’re able to finish either one, so I figured I’d share where they’re at so far.

I’m honestly really excited about both of these. I’d love to continue doing more pieces in both of these styles and keep pushing myself creatively.

Another beautiful ombré brow transformation!

My client came in with thinner brows and wanted to achieve a natural, fuller look without having to fill them in every day. We decided an ombré brow would be the perfect fit to give her soft definition, added fullness, and a beautifully balanced shape.

These will heal approximately 40–50% lighter, leaving her with a soft, natural finish that still gives her brows the definition she was looking for. I’m absolutely in love with how these turned out! 🖤

Ombre brow transformation ✨🤍

My client came in with very sparse brow hair and had been drawing her brows on for years. After a thorough consultation, we decided an ombré brow would give her the best foundation for the look she wanted.

These brows will soften and heal lighter, and at her perfection session we’ll be adding natural nano hair strokes over today’s soft pixel work to create even more dimension and a beautifully natural finish. I absolutely love the plan we have for these, and today’s transformation turned out amazing.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I’ll be taking some time away from the shop over the next few weeks due to personal obligations.

While I won’t be physically in the shop, I’ll still do my best to post content, stay active online, and check messages and booking requests when time allows. Please understand that responses may take up to 72 hours or longer during this time.

A brow correction case I was able to work on recently!✨

My client came in with previous microblading done elsewhere that was approximately 1–1.5 years old. Before moving forward with any correction work, we completed 3 saline removal sessions to lighten and prepare the area. The only reason I felt comfortable proceeding without another removal session was because I knew exactly how much saturation and depth we were planning to achieve, and I was confident I could give her the results we were looking for.

For this correction, I went in with one pass of olive corrector and then continued with a classic brown color. The transformation was absolutely worth the patience and trust throughout the process. 🖤

I also wanted to use this as a little educational moment. I am not against microblading, and I still offer it to select clients. However, microblading is not a one-size-fits-all service and, truthfully, is often not the best option for many skin types.

This post is not meant to bash another artist in any way. We are all human, and tattooing skin; whether cosmetic or traditional, can be unpredictable. Skin heals differently, ages differently, and sometimes reacts in ways we don’t expect.

What I do encourage is this: research your artist! Whether you’re looking for PMU or a body tattoo, take the time to review healed work, look through portfolios, ask questions, and make sure your artist is well rounded in multiple techniques. Your artist should be able to identify your skin type, perform a thorough consultation and mapping session, and recommend the service that will give you the best long term results, not just the trendiest one.

Our industry is constantly evolving, and as artists we should be constantly adapting alongside it. Every client is different, and the best results come from choosing techniques that work for the individual sitting in the chair. 🖤

Winged liner, bottom liner, and lip blush I was able to do on Ashley last week! ✨🖤

Ashley initially came in with a previous lash enhancement eyeliner that had been done a few years ago, but she was ready for something a little bolder. We went thicker with her liner, added a wing, and gave her more definition while still keeping it flattering for her eye shape.

And because less maintenance is more 😅, we decided to do a lip blush as well. Both services complemented her features beautifully, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
