My nephews came over yesterday to help in the garden. I had taken this video before they arrived but then forgot to share it 🤣
Once upon a time they all got along 🤦🏼♀️

For those who don’t follow my personal page. Miss Phyllis is going to have her wonkey leg amputated next Tuesday. After the surgery she will need to live inside while she heels and learns how to get around etc… I moved her inside 2 days ago so she can get use to her new surroundings before the surgery.
So far she seems to be loving it. It’s warm and she gets to see her humans a lot more. Today she got herself another bath and “hair” cut. I still havent figured out an easy way for her to roost a bit when she sleeps. So she tends to get p**p stuck to her often 🤦🏼♀️ oooorr she is super smart and does it on purpose because she loves going to the spa
Once upon a time Norma couldn’t come down with the bigs without Edna chasing after her. Now she is the one doing the chasing 🤣
Tilly and Norma have been coming out and spending more time with the big gals. Phyllis is still happiest away from the others or in my arms 🤣
I often feel like I’m the teacher’s aid during recess at a middle school 🤣 They have there little clicks that seems to change daily

My daughter was working on her diamond painting and needed more light. My hubby brought her down this 🤣 it worked like a charm.
Thank you Carol Monaghan Arneson and Hazel Harper. You both had gotten us this handy dandy lamp. Thought you might like to see it in action

Woohoo we got 4 eggs today 🥰
The ladies have been on a laying break for what feels like forever, so this was a fun surprise!
Man this little nugget (Phyllis) sure does like to keep me guessing. Yesterday she had me thinking she was heading towards the rainbow bridge. Today she is chatty and full of s***k (Eating, drinking and hopping around with her friends). Yay for the comeback ❤️ now hopefully she is done with all the doom and gloom that she keeps throwing our way.
As for the other they are getting better with the snow. Tilly and Norma even went out to play in it today (that’s a first). Tilly went right to the straw pile filled with snow, Norma stayed on the shoveled areas.
Pooch is all healed up but still has her wrap on her toe (mainly because I can’t get it off with gloves on 😜) She is still in the heart of her molt but still seems to be doing well at keeping warm.
Little Edna is still the only one who is actively laying eggs. Her little eggs are my favorite so that works fine for me. My hubby on the other hand would appreciate if one of the larger egg layers would get back to work 🤣
😩I am so torn on what to do for Phyllis 😩
One day she seems completely fine, the next she is isolating herself and only coming out long enough to eat and drink.
Today she seems to be taking a turn for the worse. When I went up this morning she didn’t come out of the coop. She normally runs out wanting me to hold her. I kept an eye on the cameras and she never came out. After a few hours I went back up to check on her. Once again she didn’t come out, even as I was reaching for her (she always gets excited when she sees I am reaching towards her). I took her out of the coop and placed her next to the food and water. She just laid there 😢 I then held her beak to the water until she took a few drinks. I sat up in the run with her for awhile but she wouldn’t eat.
I decided to bring her inside for some scrambled eggs and meat (her favorite). Normally she would go crazy eating it as soon I put it in front of her, but not today. Once I was hanging onto her she did eat a little bit of the egg but not much 🤦🏼♀️
I have been struggling with this for a few weeks now. Thinking “I’ll give her a few more days and she will bounce back” it’s now starting to feel like she is miserable and I’m being a selfish jerk making her live like this. Gahhhhh I hate this so much 😭
They had so many story’s for me today 🥰
Well they are still a bunch of chickens and don’t want to walk out into the snow 🤣 a few of them stepped out a bit but as soon as I went inside they followed.
We are expecting a few inches of snow tonight so tomorrow may be extra fun.
