July 13th - 3:48pm - Residential Fire

Janesville Fire responded to the 500 Block of N. Pine for a reported residential fire. E813 arrived first-in and found fire in a second story bedroom. A Working Still Alarm was requested, bringing an additional Engine from Lakeside Fire Department, along with off-duty JFD personnel to cover other calls in the city.

Crews on scene made a quick knock down on the fire, while additional units performed a search of the structure and provided rehab support. The homes occupants and pets had evacuated prior to fire department arrival. They are being assisted by American Red Cross.

The fire is under investigation and one resident was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Agencies assisting include Janesville Police Department, Lakeside Fire-Rescue, Alliant Energy, and American Red Cross.
