I’m Kourtney, the face behind Butterfly Beauty Ko

I started this business young and honestly had no clue where life was taking me at first. What I did know was that I loved beauty, creating things, and making people feel good about themselves. My husband actually bought my very first lash class for me when this was all just an idea in my head. If it wasn’t for him believing in me the way he did, I genuinely don’t know if I would’ve ever taken the leap. He’s literally perfect.

Now, I don’t just do lashes. I’ve added brows, piercings, and permanent jewelry along the way! I’m constantly learning and improving so I can give my clients the best experience possible, but I think my favorite part is creating a space where girls can come in feeling stressed, overwhelmed, insecure, tired, whatever… and leave feeling prettier, lighter, more confident, and cared for.

I think part of why I love this job so much is because my brain genuinely loves details. I notice EVERYTHING. The tiny things matter to me, and getting to focus on perfecting those little details all day weirdly scratches my brain in the best way.

Outside of work, I’m basically a grandma trapped in a 20 year old’s body. I love being at home, little crafts and projects, homemaking food I could’ve just grabbed at the store, organizing, repurposing any and everything. My dog Harley is also my entire world and probably gets treated better than most humans. If you’ve had even one appointment with me, you probably already know all about her.

My grandmother is still such a huge reason behind all of this. She’s the reason beauty became something special to me in the first place, and I still try to make her proud in everything I do.

To every client, supporter, commenter, liker, sharer, or person who has trusted me with their face, ears, confidence, or even just encouraged me along the way… thank you. Seriously. You’ve helped build my dream.
