Harley Update🐾

If you’ve had an appointment with me within the last couple of months, you probably know that my Harley girl recently had to have TPLO surgery. I wanted to update everyone on how she’s doing and when I’ll be back!

Harley has done amazing so far, but even after all the research and preparation, I still underestimated just how hands-on this recovery would be. Right now, she needs a support harness anytime she’s up, medication every 4–6 hours, cold therapy every 8 hours, and we’re about to add heat and physical therapy to her routine. Keeping her calm is practically a full time job because licking her incision, running, jumping, or even slipping could compromise the entire surgery.

I currently have appointments scheduled beginning September 22, which is when I originally expected to return. I’m still hoping to keep those appointments as scheduled, but I’ll be making that decision based on how Harley is doing toward the end of this week.

If I need to move anything around, I sincerely apologize in advance. I’m incredibly grateful to have such understanding clients and to have a job that allows me to take this time to care for my girl.

I’ll be reaching out soon to everyone who already has an appointment scheduled, so please keep an eye out for a text from me. I promise I’ll be back as soon as I safely can!
