5 years ago I was an accountant. Only one year into my full-time career and experiencing a burnout that I knew I couldn’t just outrun.

As I was journaling, trying to decide what I was going to do with my life I wrote that I needed a career that allowed me to connect with myself, connect with other people, and help them connect back to themselves.

What a beautiful journey. I’ve been blessed and get to do those three every day. I get to constantly grow and challenge myself. I get to connect with some of the most genuine and authentic people I’ve met and have become a part of their lives and them mine. And I get to help these people connect back to themselves.

Just really, really grateful. Thank you. 🙏🏽

Whether you work at a desk, on a line, as a hair dresser, in dentistry, travel, stay at home, whatever you do* the patterns are there. So many of my clients hold tension in their biceps and chest from always doingggg, and their neck, shoulders, and entire upper body scream for help as a result. 😬😵‍💫🤕🥵

Friends, please consider massage therapy as a tool not only for relaxation but as what could be the solution to your acute or chronic pain. Like I’ve said before, massage is like a manual reset for your body so that from that reset point you can go and flourish 🌿

Selah. A pause. A beat. A reflection.

Truly what I wish for each of my clients in their sessions. That you have the time to take a break from the distractions of this world, to pause, reflect, and reconnect to the source & Creator of all things 🌅

What a beautiful environment to be still in. Something about being on the table and experiencing an undoing of the physical presentations of your worries and stresses just holds up a mirror and space for reflection. A setting to safely surrender, and be restored to a place of wellness and relaxation. So that you may leave and shine your light a little brighter.

Growing in importance to me is the concept of safe touch.

Unfortunately, perversion has made its way into most of our lives at some point, sometimes making us think that touch is never safe. That it can’t be without a motive. Which in a lot of people’s minds translates to massage therapy. And that makes me both sick and sad.

My practice is built on safety. My goal is to hold a mirror up to you and shine light on the areas that may need some attention and intention in your body. Massage therapy is one of the most beautiful practices of caring for a person when in the right hands, and I thank God that He gifted me the ability to care for His people in this way. 🙏🏽✨❤️

Hi, friends! Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Lauryn and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist located in Jeffersonville, IN. I’ve been licensed and practicing massage therapy for 4 years and now run a lovely little practice out of my home on a referral basis.

My favorite part of my work is the people I get to see. 🥹I am blessed to care for such amazing individuals with different lifestyles and stories. When my clients walk in the door it is most important to me that they feel safe, seen, and heard. I get to care for them in the form of massage therapist but also as a safe space/friend!

One of the most beautiful things about this work to me is how creative I get to be. I used to think I wasn’t creative because I didn’t paint, draw, or play music. But each session with a client is something uniquely made in real time based on the many factors of each complex individual: the client and myself! I love creating something both therapeutic and relaxing, with a focus on long-term results.

In this fourth year I am noticing the importance of the pace of our lives, what we fuel our bodies with, and the importance of daily movement. My brain is working on some ways to be able to help my clients in the even longer term of life… stay tuned as I figure out how to continue to best serve you all 🧠💡🙏🏽🌿

One of the most common requests I get from clients: work into the neck and shoulders.

I heard a wise massage therapist on a podcast recently say that our neck and shoulders are like the channel where our thoughts flow from our head down into our arms and bodies for action.

I love helping my clients reduce stiffness and gain range of motion!! But I think of massage like a head-start! I manually undo the junk you’re carrying 🗑️🫩🤕 to send you off feeling better so that from that new space you can LIVE better! 😌🌅☺️

There are many ways to do so, but I encourage you to move your body so your tissues don’t just form to your repetitive stress, that you find a balance between stretching and strengthening, and intentionally seek peace in this life that we are so gifted have 🌿
