Mad House Goat Soapery
Nestled in our cozy homestead, we've embraced the mischievous nature of our furry friends. Each bar is celebrated goodness!
Their playful antics & gentle spirits sparked the idea of crafting homemade goat milk soap-rich, nourishing, & bursting with LOVE!

For everyone staying in the Magic Valley this weekend, don't forget to stop by the K & L Farms shop @ 27 Bob Barton Rd. in Jerome, to support REAL, local Idahoans, pouring their hearts in to what they create!
If you've noticed I've been a little quiet about soap lately, it's because garden season waits for no one. 🌱
Right now, every spare minute is going into growing food for our family. With so much uncertainty surrounding our food supply these days, knowing where our food comes from feels more important than ever.
Soap can wait a few weeks. Tomatoes, peppers, and everything else on Mother Nature's schedule cannot. 😅
Here's a little progress update from the chaos garden. Wish me luck—and maybe send a few prayers that the weeds don't win. 🌿💪

It really warms my heart that my neighbors really DO give a crap! 🤎💩🤎
Seriously, my neighbors did me a solid (no pun intended), and I truly appreciate their kindness!

Today’s homestead adventure: this ginger menace versus the spawn of Satan himself… goat heads. 😤☠️
Hours were spent hoeing, raking, burning, and questioning the UV index in today's Idaho sun. I feel like I've earned my new freckles and willwear them like a badge! Hopefully all this hard work pays off and makes things easier in the long run for my family's veggie garden.
I loathe these little a-holes hitchin' rides on your shoesies like tiny botanical assassins… only to present themselves the SECOND you let your guard down and take one confident barefoot step across your living room floor. Then you get to perform delicate one-legged surgery trying to pull the demon spike out without accidentally jabbing your fingies. 🙃
Now send prayers, good vibes, sage smoke, or a small exorcism that my future veggies don’t succumb to the inevitable stragglers lurking in the shadows waiting to ruin my garden dreams. 🌱✨
Homestead glamour. ✨

Trying a shampoo or conditioner bar for the first time can feel like a gamble. A lot of people have tried one somewhere before and thought, “Nope. Never again.” Too waxy. Too drying. Weird residue. Hair feeling like straw. 😅
That’s why positive feedback means SO much to small businesses like mine.
Sometimes all it takes is one person willing to give it a shot… and then tell others it actually worked for them. Word of mouth is everything when you make products that are a little different from what people are used to.
My Rock & Roots bars are made to be salon-worthy, color-safe, and packed with ingredients that actually love your hair — not just survive wash day. But because bars still feel “different” to a lot of people, reviews, shares, comments, and honest feedback help more than you know.
So if you’ve tried something from Mad House Goat Soapery and loved it, THANK YOU for helping others feel confident enough to try it too. You’re literally helping a small business grow one recommendation at a time. 🖤

Apparently silence just gives my brain room to criticize me uninterrupted.
The epiphany is this is why I have 6 kids.

I love lots of color and imagery (if you haven't noticed), I tend to go overboard on my labels, but I'm so happy I exercised restraint on my new soap labels. I think they really let the soap shine!
