IF YOU ARE NOT CERTIFIED TO INSTALL EXTENSIONS, THEN DON’T!!!!

Backstory: this client came in a few months ago to receive a service from one of our estheticians, when she couldn’t even focus on her service because her head was so uncomfortable from a fresh extension install she had gotten that morning from a different salon.

This client asked her service provider if she could take a look at her head to make sure nothing looked insane, and the esthetician parted her hair she noticed this shocking disaster.

Although the esthetician does not do hair, she knew something was desperately wrong as soon as she laid her eyes on it!

She urgently came downstairs to grab me, so I could verify her assumption!

My first comment to her was “ we have got to take these out today before your hair starts breaking”. (you can see the original install in the first few photos)

Hair extensions are not supposed to be terribly uncomfortable. You generally should not feel intense pulling or loose areas, especially not the same day as your install!

Your install should have very clean, partings and stitching (as shown in the last few photos).

• if your hairstylist cannot tell you where she got certified, then please kindly tell them you will go someplace else.

• if you have any urgent problems that your hairstylist won’t address or you are too shy to address them, please discreetly reach out to me and we will discreetly fix your problems!

I got into this business because I want women to feel and look amazing, and those things cannot happen with problems like these. This will grow into a much bigger problem, such as breakage or even hair loss.

Please, if you are not certified, refer your clients out to people who are. Your clients will respect you so much more for sending them to someone who is certified, than to pay money for problems like these because of arrogance and greed.

By just adding low lights, we kept the dimension, toned down the color for fall, and made it much easier to make lighter in the spring!

This is one of my favorite transformations, and it was a breezy two step process!

As beautiful as these colors are, they do have a couple of catches:

- We did have to bleach certain highlight areas of her hair in order to make the green vibrant, but we will not have to lighten those areas again unless we want more of those areas.

- This color should last vibrantly for up to 20 shampoo’s before it starts truly fading. Refresh appointments are more frequent if this vibrancy is desired at all times.

- This color does come out every time you shampoo and will turn your towels and pillowcases a slight tent of your vivid color.

When it comes to these beautiful colors, I almost want to talk clients out of these colors before I talk them into it because these colors do come with higher stressors than normal permanent colors.
