Here’s my mid year post saying I’m going to start posting more frequently… let’s be honest, I won’t😅 However, we have some exciting stuff coming to .salonsuites so maybe I will🤫🫣

At the start of every year I set a goal to post more on social media. Three months in and that goal is gone! Every year it’s the same thing. I used to base my success on the amount of followers or likes I had, how many people would DM me, how many people would post about their hair, ect. I’m now learning that has nothing to do with your success in this industry. Does it help? Probably. Is your social media the only thing that’s keeping your clients coming back? Absolutely not. Would I like to post more? Yes! But I’m also not going to stress about it! I sometimes take pictures that never get seen simply because I forget. I’m also learning that I don’t want to be a specific color specialist, and that’s okay! I want the base retouch clients, highlight clients, haircut only clients. I want them all. I see some clients more than I see some of my family. I know their happy and sad times and they know mine. I’ve developed a connection that I love so deeply. So for any stylist who are like this also, your success isn’t measured by your likes on a post.

Let’s help our community🩷

As everyone has seen, our community has experienced great loss in the last few days. People have lost homes, farms, and small businesses. Lots of people need help and support to get back on their feet. We want to help as much as possible so we’re opening up our space for any donations. Food, water, gift cards, clothing items (all ages), shoes, ect. We are in communication with people in the area to see what exactly is needed and will update accordingly, but we know the items above are no doubt needed.

We are open Tuesday-Saturday in the coming weeks. If you need to drop off on a Sunday or Monday, we will make arrangements to meet you there! Even the smallest thing can help in the long run. It will be a long recovery and we can’t allow this to skip our minds. Our community needs the help now more than ever🩷
