With our salon birthday coming up we thought it was time to explain where Composure Salon Suites came from. While we went through a multitude of names, Composure kept coming back to the table. As a kid I, Bayley, would watch How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days every night for months at a time. It was, and still is, one of my favorite movies. Andy Anderson (Kate Hudson) works for Composure Magazine and writes columns. She’s known as the “how to” girl! We second guessed names for months but once we realized the name we kept coming back to, Composure, was also the name of the fictional magazine on a movie that brought so many warm memories, we knew would be our name without a shadow of a doubt💛

We have heard from the community that water is highly needed! Whether it be packs of water for drinking or just sink water in old milk jugs for hand washing. With the cold months coming they will also need warm clothing. Please bring anything you can think of or have lying around! Our community needs it🩷

As everyone has seen, our community has experienced great loss in the last few days. People have lost homes, farms, and small businesses. Lots of people need help and support to get back on their feet. We want to help as much as possible so we’re opening up our space for any donations. Food, water, gift cards, clothing items (all ages), shoes, ect. We are in communication with people in the area to see what exactly is needed and will update accordingly, but we know the items above are no doubt needed.

We are open Tuesday-Saturday in the coming weeks. If you need to drop off on a Sunday or Monday, we will make arrangements to meet you there! Even the smallest thing can help in the long run. It will be a long recovery and we can’t allow this to skip our minds. Our community needs the help now more than ever🩷

**Hi, I’m Kelly!**

I’ve dreamed of becoming a hair stylist since I was 4 years old, so to say I have a passion for hair would be pretty accurate. Throughout my career behind the chair, I’ve managed salons, owned a multi-chair salon, and a private suite, and now I get to work with my daughter in the salon suites we own together!

As a former educator for a global color company, staying informed and educated is super important to me in this ever-evolving field. My favorite color to work with is gray blending. I love helping clients transition—whether it’s camouflaging grays or embracing their natural shades. I also have a soft spot for blonding and have a plethora of techniques to achieve seamless, lived-in brightness or even create an all-out on-scalp blonde.

When I’m not behind the chair, I enjoy organizing closets, having dinners with family and friends, designing spaces, and holding the couch down.

I don’t plan to ever retire—I sincerely love my career and the people I get to hang with every day! I’m happy to be your hair girl and make magic happen!
