Every wedding day brings new faces, different backgrounds, and unique stories. From hearing how couples met to listening to childhood memories shared while getting ready, I feel so lucky to be a small part of these moments.

The makeup is what brings us together, but it's the conversations, laughter, and connections that make each wedding day so special. 🤍

A “base tan” is NOT sun protection — it’s sun damage.

When your skin tans, it’s actually responding to UV injury by producing more melanin. That color change is your skin’s defense mechanism after it’s already been damaged. And the protection it gives? Barely equivalent to an SPF 2–4… which is nowhere near enough to keep your skin safe.

So instead of “prepping” your skin for summer with a tan, you’re really just:
• Increasing risk of sun spots + hyperpigmentation
• Speeding up premature aging (fine lines, texture, loss of elasticity)
• Weakening your skin barrier over time
• Raising long-term skin cancer risk with repeated UV exposure

As an esthetician, I’ll always say this: the goal isn’t a base tan — it’s a healthy, resilient skin barrier that can handle sun exposure the right way.
