🥕 Fill a Bag to Feed a Family! 🥫

So many families in our local community are struggling to stretch their groceries right now — and together, we can make a difference. 💛

Bright Futures Joplin is collecting meal kits to provide supplemental help with food insecurity for Joplin Schools students and their families.

Would you or your organization be able to create some of these easy, shelf-stable meal bags to share with those who need a little extra help right now? Every single bag you fill helps feed a local family.

Here are some simple ideas you can grab from Dollar Tree or any local store:

🌮 Taco Night Bag
Taco shells or tortillas
1 can chicken or beef
1 can corn
1 taco seasoning packet
1 small can salsa or diced tomatoes

🍝 Pasta Dinner Bag
1 box pasta
1 jar pasta sauce
1 can veggies or tuna/chicken

🍲 Soup & Sandwich
1 can soup
1 can Vienna sausages or tuna
1 package crackers
1 pudding or fruit cup

🥞 Breakfast for Dinner

Pancake mix (just add water)
Syrup
1 can fruit
Peanut butter

🥔 Hearty Potato Soup Kit
1 package instant mashed potatoes
1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1 can green beans or peas
1 can ham or chicken
