Trisha is a skilled colorist and stylist with 15 years experience! After honing her craft at Lili Salon and The Hair District in Chanhassen, she is excited to bring her talents to her beloved community in Jordan. As hard as it is in transitioning out of salon life, all I’ve wanted is to know that there will be someone great who can take care of my clients I’ve grown to know and love through the years. In getting to know Trisha through this process, I’m beyond happy and feel at peace in knowing my clients will have someone who will continue to provide and care for them in the same manner I strive for. ❤️

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

It's a BIG day over here- BKB celebrates 10 years in business this summer and I celebrate 20 years total in my industry this next year.... So, it is a VERY bittersweet thing to announce that I will be retiring from behind the chair and salon life.

My official end date will be Friday Sept. 22nd. I know this may come as a shock to most, and quite honestly I'm still processing it myself in that it's only been recent that this long dream of being home with my kiddos and family has become a reality in our reach. Over the past 3 years, experiencing multiple major life events has changed not only priorities, but also perspective and seizing this moment in our lives, to be present with the ones I love most is the absolute best decision for myself and family.

I don't even know where to start in expressing the gratitude to each and every client of mine over the years for supporting my dream and continuing to be loyal in all of my growth, moves and transitions. You've all shared so much of your own lives with me, and I can't thank you enough for not only trusting me with your luscious locks but also sharing some of your deepest and most important life experiences. It's because of you that I see the importance and how true it is that we are not promised our tomorrows, and that today is sufficient for itself and to live life to the fullest. You've each inspired me and impacted my life, in ways I hope I did the same for you!

So, what does this mean for BKB and the salon location?

I will continue working in the salon through September. Last day of operations will be Friday Sept. 22. I will be trying my best to have everyone scheduled through then, however, please note I am currently booking into the end of August/early September so if you have to reschedule or cancel your appt. time please know I will try my best, however, can not guarantee a new appt time slot. I will not be accepting any new clients as my loyalty is also to my current clientele and you are my first priority behind the chair! I will still be working with Jamie Smith Photography as well as honoring all weddings and special events.

As far as the salon and location-I am looking to sell my business assets, however, will provide more on that opportunity in the coming weeks.

Please know, this decision was not taken lightly and was considered VERY, VERY thoroughly. Thank you to each and every one of you for all of your continued support through the years. I will absolutely miss seeing you all in my chair- but Im looking forward to seeing all of you through September and I really hope to see many of you on the otherside.... My sister Jessie really inspired me this year by something she did in her shop and it touched my heart so much… for those of you who don’t personally know me, we lost our dad to su***de roughly 1.5 years ago. It has by far been our greatest and hardest loss in life. And although he’s gone, and we will never have certain answers, we continue to carry him through memories, and in our hearts, just as you all do with your own loved ones who are no longer with us.

I really wanted us to have our own “In Memory of Me Christmas Tree” here in our Jordan community, to represent the loved ones we have lost that we carry in our minds, forever in our hearts, and will never be forgotten.

You are not required to have your services done at BKB to participate in this. There is no cost or purchase required- this is a simple act of love and kindness to represent those who we love that are no longer with us. Simply come into the salon write your loved ones name on a tag and maybe your favorite thing you miss about them on the back and hang it on our “In Memory of Me Tree”!

If you are in need of a hug, a word of encouragement, or prayer, please ask!
It’s a glorious time of year, yet that doesn’t mean there isn’t hardships in loss and being reminded of who we are missing- so together, let’s keep our loved ones memories alive!
