Freyja was never meant to fit neatly into anyone’s idea of what a woman should be.
She walked between worlds.
Love and war.
Beauty and death.
Desire and grief.
Magic and fury.
Half of the fallen came to her hall before Odin ever chose the rest.
That matters.
Because the old Norse world did not see strength as the absence of emotion.
They saw power in the ability to carry all of it without collapsing beneath it.
Freyja wept for what she loved.
Fought for what she valued.
Searched the worlds for what was lost.
And still remained feared, desired, and impossible to ignore.
That’s why her story still survives.
Not because she was perfect.
Because she was complete.
Too many people spend their lives cutting pieces of themselves away just to be accepted.
Less emotion.
Less ambition.
Less intensity.
Less honesty.
Less fire.
Freyja would have called that a tragedy.
She did not shrink to become easier to hold.
She became something vast enough
that the world had to make room for her.
And maybe that’s the lesson.
You were never supposed to become smaller
just because others were uncomfortable
with your depth.
Some storms are not meant to be silenced.
Some are meant to remind the world
what power looks like.
