Closing out the night with a few fireworks, midnight sledding and a double Dexcom and Omnipod change at 2am.
This year has been far from unicorns and rainbows for us. I could tell you about the sleepless nights managing Emi’s multiple low blood sugars, managing businesses and learning how to care for our 4 year old Emi, while keeping a smile and not loosing it with our other children, family, co-workers and clients… but, I am going to focus on the positive.

Our Amazing friends and family showed up and supported us beyond belief this year. We cannot be more thankful.
Thank you to the Charisma Team and the Miramontes Construction crew that kept everything moving while we were medevaced. Thank you to our friends and family who dropped everything to come be by our sides, we have never needed you more.
Thank you to the clients who have been so understanding that Hugo and I haven’t been at our 100% lately, for giving us grace as we figure out this new life.

Every day is a blessing, we are so thankful Chiko is limping into 2026 with us, entering his 17th year of life! Thankful for the air we breathe, the moments we get to make with everyone in our lives and our amazing children who impress us everyday.

Here’s to 2026, praying to God for a smoother ride 😎

We thought we would update everyone:
Emilia was in DKA and was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. We were Medevaced to Anchorage last Saturday and have been here since trying to stabilize her and learn how to care for this new life of ours. I wish this upon no family, it’s been hell for Emi and it’s been hell for Hugo and I to not be able to take her pain away. We have a long road ahead to figure out how to get back to our everyday life so please know that we are not ignoring you, this has knocked our entire family off our feet and we will slowly get to our new pace of life. Thank you to everyone that has reached out, to our family and friends that have helped with our other kids and our businesses, the Charisma family covering me at work and feeding us from afar ❤️ and Mikaela for flying up and bringing us clothing today so we could finally wear new clothing 🙌
We love you guys so much and we can’t wait to be home with you again soon! ❤️
