Island Essence

Another beautiful day here on Maui 🌺

Planning a trip or looking for a little staycation close to home? One of our favorite spots is Camp Olowalu, where you can camp, glamp, or pull up for a night of car camping, all right along the shoreline in Olowalu.

It’s such a special way for visitors and locals alike to experience a different side of Maui, with oceanfront mornings, open air showers, and plenty of time outside.

And naturally, we’re bringing a few Island Essence favorites along for the stay. Because an open air shower on Maui is even better with a little Island Essence. 🌿

A little Maui coffee history…

Founded in 1993 by David Gridley, Maui ‘Oma has been part of Maui’s specialty coffee scene for more than 30 years.

In 2018, Maria Holmes and Grant Schule took over, combining Maria’s deep coffee-industry experience with Grant’s farming roots on Maui and Moloka‘i.

Today, they roast small-batch coffee in Kahului, celebrating both Maui-grown beans and coffees from around the world. 🌱☕️

“I love Island Essence lotions especially the gardenia scent. They aren’t too thick and sink in well without any greasy feeling. My skin feels good after using their lotions. Also, the Tamanu oil is nice for your lady parts. Never burns and Moisturizes well. It’s a great way to support a Hawaiian business by buying your various body products and gifts from Island Essence.” -A.E.
