I thought I was building a business.

I didn’t realize I was building my confidence, too.

When I started Butter Bliss by Sariah, I didn’t have every answer. I still don’t.

But every product, mistake, order, and milestone has taught me to trust my own vision.

I’m proud to be woman-owned and Black Caribbean-owned. My heritage is part of who I am, so naturally, it’s part of what I create.

Balancing motherhood, a full-time career, and a handcrafted body care business hasn’t shown me that I can do everything perfectly.

It has shown me that I can learn, adjust, and keep going.

Confidence doesn’t always come before you begin.

Sometimes you have to begin first.

Nobody talks enough about the days when running a small business feels like everything except growth.

I’m building a Black-owned, woman-owned business while being a mother and maintaining a full-time career.

Some days, I feel unstoppable.

Growth isn’t always loud.

Answering one customer.

Making one batch.

Fixing one mistake.

Learning something new.

Completing the most important task.

Or resting so you can return with a clearer mind tomorrow.

Not every day has to be productive enough to impress the internet.

When the day feels overwhelming, choose one thing that will move your business forward.

Finish that one thing.

Write down tomorrow’s first step.

Then give yourself permission to stop.
