I get asked this s**t all the time:
“How do you know who needs gifts?”
“How do you know who needs turkeys?”
“What if they drive a new Lexus?”
“What if they’ve got expensive shoes or a nice purse?”
This fetishized idea of what “poor” is supposed to look like is fu***ng unhinged. Like people are required to show up with holes in their socks, begging like some Dickens-era caricature—“please sir, can I have some more?”
Why the f**k do we need to be the poverty police? Since when did helping another human require an audit of their entire life? Most of this garbage thinking is soaked in racist tropes and classist bulls**t, whether people want to admit it or not.
My answer is simple: I don’t care.
Who the f**k am I to interrogate someone’s survival?
Who the f**k am I to decide whether they’re “poor enough” to deserve help?
Who the f**k am I to gatekeep joy, dignity, or material comfort?
The idea that struggling people are supposed to suffer visibly—never have nice things, never experience happiness, never own something that brings them pride—is straight-up dangerous. It teaches us that worthiness is tied to pain. That if you don’t look miserable enough, you don’t deserve s**t.
And notice this: no one ever asks, “Why is that guy allowed to hoard $500 billion?”
No one questions their worth.
No one audits their shoes, their cars, their houses.
Instead, we idolize them. We worship hoarders of obscene wealth while side-eyeing people who’ve been exploited to create it. We punch down and call it “accountability.”
That mindset is fu***ng trash.
And I’m not participating in it.

ALL TURKEYS ARE GONE 🦃
I am deeply grateful to share that we have successfully provided 260 turkeys to feed families in kazoo. This achievement would not have been possible without the generosity and participation of so many. Thank you to everyone who donated, and special thanks to Marcus Sleeman and Diane Lang AND costco for their unwavering support—you know why we are thanking you.
As we approach a milestone, I’m excited to announce that we are entering our 10th year in business on December 1. Over the years, your kindness has enabled us to provide turkeys, Christmas presents, movies, backpacks, and more to families in our community.
A few important reminders:
We will be accepting families for Christmas presents for kids. Please consider contributing so we can bring joy to as many children as possible.
We are still accepting donations of Christmas presents and monetary contributions.
-Mark your calendars for our stand-up comedy show on December 13, featuring myself and Adam Degi. All proceeds will support Christmas presents for kids and community activities for 2026.
Thank you again for your continued support, Kazoo. It has been a privilege to serve our community and celebrate this milestone with you.
