I want to say Hello to everyone who is new here the last few months and say Thank You for joining the Farm Fueled Family!
I wanted to share a little of my personal journey with you as we start this New year together!
The first pic was taken a week ago, happy and healthy, and loving this stage of life. The second pic was me, 25 years ago and @200 lbs. I was in my late 20’s and had gained so much weight during the “fat-free” era of the 1990’s. I had gained over 50 lbs since high school even though I workout out and tried my ‘best’; those years of bagels, beer, pizza and late nights did not do me well.
Here I am now! I am 52 and @ 60 lbs lighter. I fluctuate some with hormones and adjusting my diet; but the majority of the weight loss came through dietary changes. The first and biggest change I made was getting off processed foods (they were killing me) and turning to real food, real ingredients! Over the past 20 years I have learned a lot about gut health. How the foods we eat really do create life or disease.
Along with weight lost, I have also lost many family and friends to illness. Farm Fueled Nutrition is not only for me but for those I’ve lost. And that’s what the third picture represents, remembering those we love! We have to keep going, share our stories and make an impact.
I’d love to hear from you and how real food is making an impact in your life! 👇

Happy New Years 2024!
This all started back in Vegas in February. I was there to run a race and while there I took a huge leap of faith. I did lots of searching and had a few doors open for me. The next few months provided me with opportunities and the development of an amazing team who have helped me make this dream come true!
The number 23 has been our favorite over the years, so closing out this chapter feels like I’m finishing the book but I know I’m just getting started!
As I’ve been journaling this week and preparing for this coming year, the word “Grow” stood out to me! Not in the sense of growing food (which I will be growing lots more this year), but in Who “I” want to Grow in to!
I want to GROW in who I want to become, dig deeper into where I want to go! I’m 52 and I have lots of life ahead of me!
Here’s to You and I and where we will ‘grow’! 🌱
Cheers👇

I’ve heard it before, and some will tell you, they don’t eat carrots because of their sugars. And yes, they do contain four types of sugars — sucrose, glucose, xylose and fructose. But despite the sugars they contain very little starch, so you can have your sweet vegetable without the carbs.
They are also loaded with a bunch of good-for-you nutrients including vitamins A, C, K and B6, manganese, calcium, lots of dietary fiber and potassium.
I have an older friend who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and she opted out of chemotherapy and decided to eat a real food diet. She was the first person I personal knew to take on this journey. And she would drink carrot juice everyday, and to her it was the sweetest, best tasting drink she would have every day. This was 20 years ago and she is healthy and thriving.
Each year I plant more and more and I still don’t plant enough to last me til winter. I now plant them in raised beds which has made all the difference in getting a bountiful harvest. Nothing tastes sweeter and better than a fresh carrot straight from the organic dirt!
Grow well, eat well👇

Where does your food come from? This is my mission for the new year!
Our bodies don’t thrive on processed, preservative filled foods. We need real food, real ingredients to sustain our health and longevity. I support farmers and food growers, and I’m grateful for all who are making small changes towards this big need.
I’m not prefect nor am I a large farmer growing huge amounts of food, but I am a food grower learning every year to feed my family with the knowledge I have. Each year I buy seeds for the food we love and can preserve, I planted fruit trees that will produce annually, I added raised beds to increase productivity and decrease labor, and we are building an underground greenhouse to grow food all year round up here in Montana.
I understand the importance of knowing where our food comes from not only for myself and my family but for health and wellness for generations to come.
Small changes can make big difference👇

Drink your GREENS 🥬
I have been drinking and eating greens for the last 20 years. I love salad, chard and even the powdered forms of Spirulina and Chlorella; I have taken many shots of wheatgrass too, mostly when I’m needing a little more energy in my day. I truly believe in the power of Greens and love how they fill me up and detox my body.
I have been using our every day for a month and love how I feel. It helps me maintain a healthy gut and my overall wellness. I seriously crave it! (My husband Agrees! ✅)

It’s always great to have another chance at something!
As I look back over the house fire pictures today I am reminded of the opportunities not the terrible loss. Although we did lose some family treasures, we still have all the memories of raising our kids, the fury babies that have been added over the years and the gardens that have been planted and harvested every season.
Some times the best things are the unforeseen blessings. The opportunities we missed the first time around. Or the unanswered questions that will never be answered!
I want to share a powerful story about our return and rebuild. Last summer, while my husband was building and I was working in the new orchard, I asked God, “why did you allow the fire to happen?” It could have been stopped at any point but the house got totally destroyed. And I heard him say, “they (the renters) weren’t taking care of it the way YOU would!” My husband and I Labored on this land! We planted every tree, bush and flower. Every nail, screw and board was put there by our hands! And God knew for me to return it would have to be a Big turn of events!
We moved Memorial Day ‘21 and One year later we moved all the way back, Memorial Day ‘22! We changed most everything on the new house! And we got Another chance to live and grow here!
And to take care of This Land and to develop a company from This place! I am so humbly Grateful!
Pictures our in my stories!

“Agriculture is the most healthful, most useful, and most noble employment of man.” ~ George Washington
This quote emphasizes the significance and value of agriculture even in today’s standards. Agriculture directly contributes to the production of nutritious and fresh food. It involves cultivating crops, raising livestock, and producing fruits, vegetables, grains, and other essential food sources that contribute to a healthy diet. By engaging in agriculture, individuals have the opportunity to actively participate in the production of wholesome food, promoting personal and community well-being.
Agricultural is a healthful and vital activity that sustains individuals, contributes to our well-being, and carries a honorable calling.
