Making Hair Beautiful is My Passion

Nervous about your first hair appointment?
I understand that fear. When I moved to the valley, and I was new working in Regis salon ( yes, we use to have one here). I drove an hour and half, home, back to Libby to have the gals at my old salon do my hair.
So I understand the fear of starting over with some one new.

Your visit, I will sit down and chat with you... about you.
And I will reassure there is no wrong answer.
It's ok if you don't blowdry your hair, or you wash every day. There is no right or wrong in my chair.
I will give advice, pointers or suggestions.
I will ask all the questions to try to understand what you want, like and dislike.
And then we will talk together about your hair plan.

I want you to feel comfortable, relaxed and understood.

Hair appointments are not a one color fits all.

Are you tired of having frizzy hair?

Here are 5 ways to tame that frizz:

Get rid of dry, dead ends. You may just need a good healthy trim. Split ends can travel up hair shaft causing frizz and breakage.
How hot is the water you are showering in? A super hot shower can actually open your hair cuticle, which means the hair needs more moisture. Hair lacking moisture is frizzy. Now you don't have to shiver in your shower but turn in down: Think warm not steaming
A weekly moisturizing mask helps add the extra moisture your hair is missing.
Satin pillowcase/hair bonnet helps reduce friction on your strands as you sleep. Your hair will glide across rather then snag.
Try using a microfiber towel or 100% cotton tshirt on your hair after getting out of the shower. Helps absorb water faster ( hair dries faster) keeps hair smoother- less frizz.

your hair started feeling drier sometime in your 40s… you’re definitely not alone.

As we get older….
anyone else sick of that phrase?
Unfortunately, I've discovered its a phrase I hear a lot more these days
But..

As we get older everything seems to change, including our scalp. Our scalp actually makes less natural oil, and grey hair can feel a little rougher — which means it doesn’t hold moisture the same way it used to. Which means our hair feels and probably is more drier than it use to be.
Now don't groan and get angry at me.. there is good news

A few small changes can make a big difference.

A few things that really help:

• Add a simple weekly deep conditioner
• Use a little hair oil or cream on the ends after styling
• Turn the heat down slightly on your hot tools

Your hair isn’t suddenly “bad.”

It’s just changing a little — and with the right care it can still look soft, healthy, and beautiful.

It’s the conversations, the catching up, and the relationships that build over time...

That's my favorite part of my job.
Being creative, helping your hair look and feel amazing, that's kinda like a great bonus.

The conversations, laughs, relationships built while helping you feel better than you can came in, that's why I do what I do.

A lot of women tell me the same thing after their visit…

“I love this space and how its just me and you.”

Just you
Only our conversation
No rush or crowded waiting room.

A thoughtful consultation.
Easy conversation, lots of laughs.
And space to actually enjoy having your hair done.

For a lot of women, it ends up feeling less like a typical salon visit and more like a small escape in the middle of a busy life.

And honestly… we all deserve a little of that.

You know that feeling when things are just… calm?

That’s what an appointment is like in my studio salon.
No rushing. It's calm. No constant chatter chatter from every direction.
Just a space you where you can relax.

Time to just sit, talk about your hair, and not feel hurried.

It’s comfortable, relaxed, and completely your time.

Because this is your time, just for you.

Ever feel like your grey grows in faster than the rest of your hair?

I know I do, all is going great and then literally the very next morning, it's only grey screaming at me in the mirror. Like literally over night, only the grey hair grew....

I mean it's not true, but that is how it appears.
That solid root, can look harsh quickly.

Adding a highlight can soften that contrast so its not screaming at you overnight. And a highlight doesn't have to be blonde, just a color slightly lighter then your natural to blend, reduce the harsh grow out line and give you extra time between visits.

Are you struggling with your greys popping out sooner then your calendar has time for?

Adding a few highlights with your normal root touch up appointment, may just be the added extra to get a few more weeks in between your appointments.

Highlights added to your root touchup allows for a softer regrowth , no more harsh line.
Allows your color to be a lower maintenance and not more solid, flat color.

Maybe its time to look at a different hair plan.

What appointment do you need>>>>
You ever wonder what appointment you need to schedule for your hair needs?
I am going to give you a quick easy break down.

Root touch up = cover all grey hair
Highlights = lighten hair, soften appears of grey
Low lights= add some natural color do decrease the amount of grey seen but leave some grey showing for a softer grow out, natural
Both= cover grey but add highlights for easier maintenance softer grow out.

Honestly, most women do best by getting both ( roots with a highlight.)

But no plan is one fits all that's why I will sit and talk with you about your hair goals and how often you want to come in.
