Gah, another “forgot the before, but the after was too good not to share” post!!

“Can you make the top match my ends, but keep it ashier?” Say less! 🥰

New cut, who dis!?! Touched up some highs, added some lows in anticipation for our next apt in the fall where we’ll go darker, and cut off some inches! Left the bottom blunt with internal texturizing (Ingle Lopata 😂) for thickness on the bottom and easier curling at the shorter length!

See that line of demarkation!? Well, she was tired of it, so we only touched up a few highlights,and lowlighted the rest with a color similar to her natural color to help soften the grow out. We may be even planning a darker approach next apt. depending on how she likes this and adjusts to having her hair darker and more natural looking.

Weight loss and some hormone changes have affected her hair’s thickness. She’s got all kinds of new hair coming in, but her ends were feeling wispy and see through, so it was time for a sassy new style!! And now those new baby hairs can catch up with the bottom faster!

Summer sun kissed! Forgot to take my before picture before I cut off 2 inches, so don’t judge the ends on the before picture! I’ve been doing this guest’s hair at least 20 years, and since we’ve started coloring her hair, we typically do it twice, maybe three times a year. So whether it’s her summer, fall, winter, or spring hair, we always try and keep her color toward the top near her part, a very subtle difference from her natural. This way we don’t create an obvious line of demarkation, but we still sneak in some fun pops of color underneath.

From blonde to copper, to blonde, to half copper and half blonde, back to BLONDE!!! Man oh man, does this sweet lady shine! One blonde bombshell, coming right up!!

Ahhh, Brandi, always testing my skills and making me work!! She didn’t really want to mess with a color remover to remove the left over magenta/burgundy we did last time, and said she would be fine with however the highlights turned out. I of course wasn’t going to just do “fine” so, 3 1/2 hours later, buckets of bleach, two (or was it three?) different toners, even I shocked myself with these results!! There are some not so perfect pieces in there, but this is our foundational work for all new fantasy colors this fall, so this is “perfect” for now!

We did a prep halo lightening one week, and then two weeks later, did her inspo purple and pink halo! We knew the ends were going to be pink, so we didn’t work too much about the old color not removing from the ends completely, however, when she can back 2 weeks later with dry hair, they looked even lighter. We both loved the way it came out!!
