🚨No, this is not a drill.
Done By Kay will be closing, August 22 2026.

It’s been an amazing journey back with you all in KC. Being your hairstylist again has brought me so much joy, but it’s time for a new opportunity.
I have been offered a position with Redken to become a Regional Educator! A position I was more than excited to accept.
For those of you who have known me for a while, know how important not only the brand Redken is to me, but continuing education as well. This is an amazing opportunity not only for my career, but my family.
While this new position takes me away from being behind the chair, it does not take me away from KC.
I’ll still be around for lunch and coffee dates, or even just the needed vent session.

Here’s whats happening

Since the flooding on Tuesday, this is the most recent information I have:

Restoration will take approximately 3 weeks.
(If nothing goes wrong 🤞🏽)
In the meantime, I will continue to work, where and when I can. That means I will continue to stay at Elevate and borrow suites when they are available. Because of this, I will only be able to book on a week to week basis.
Please also understand, if there is not a space for me to work, I will have to make adjustments to appointments that are already scheduled.
If you have an appointment on the books for the current week, it will remain the same unless I contact you directly.
Again, I can not thank you all enough for your patience and understanding during this time.

We have a situation…

On the morning of Tuesday June 2nd, there was a pipe burst in a neighboring salon suite. Resulting in the flooding of the new additions at Elevate. The flooding was substantial, and will require demolition and restoration.

As of right now, I have reached out to anyone whose appointments were effected immediately. As I receive more information, I will share it with you.
As a result, I will be conducting business out of other suites in Elevate. Because of that, I will be keeping my schedule light; and online booking will be disabled until further notice.
