Joining in the upper Midwest!

Will Banks, Cynthiana, Ky., joined the AHA as the upper Midwest region field representative Sept. 21. He will serve Territory 5, which includes Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

He graduated Kansas State University with a degree in animal science and recently served as the risk mitigation coordinator for the Bluegrass Marketing Group.

The 2027 National Reference Sire Program sires have been selected!

Through the NRSP, young Hereford sires are tested in a real-world commercial setting to validate genetic merit and identify opportunities to advance economically relevant traits across the breed.

Olsen Ranches, Harrisburg, Neb., has been instrumental in breed research and data collection for decades, giving members a firsthand look at the program, the processes and the genetics powering the next generation.

Working our way out West 🏔️

After landing in Colorado, the Seedstock group traveled to Hermes Livestock for a tour of the genetics that have proven themselves in the industry. A true testament to the value of the bald face. Thank you to the entire Hermes crew for hosting us at the ranch for the evening!
