Found these at a wonderful consignment store awhile back. I literally gasped when I saw them.

Another shopper overheard and said “oh, what did you find?!” I had been hit by a wave of nostalgia, of course! I grew up with a whole set of these Hellerware dishes along with the plates and bowls that my parents got as a wedding gift in the 70s from a rich aunt. I remember my mom saying they were nice because they were from Crate and Barrel. I accidentally melted one that had nothing on it in the microwave as a kid once and got in trouble lol. But I learned you can’t mess around with a microwave! My folks are still around, but I live across the country and have been missing my mom a lot. Felt like the universe giving me a little hug that they were only $12 for all 6– I won’t give too much detail, but I don’t usually have much money left over to spend on myself. Of course I bought them all. Not sure if they are vintage or modern, since they are still in production, but they are among my top scores of all time for the happy memories.

Of ALL the places I expected to find an old iPod mini, Goodwill was nowhere near the top of the list. I saw this silver box sitting there looking completely ordinary until the picture on the front registered in my brain. Suddenly I’m standing in the aisle inspecting old Apple packaging like I just discovered buried treasure. 😅 I know these aren’t exactly the newest technology anymore, but that’s kind of the appeal. The original box, the old menu screen, the click wheel, even the “Actual size” text on the front feels like a time capsule from when Apple packaging was ridiculously exciting. Now I’m stuck deciding what to do with it. Part of me wants to keep everything together because complete vintage tech is getting harder to stumble across. The other part wants to actually use it if the player is still there and working. Would you preserve an old find like this for nostalgia, or charge it up and put it back into service?

Dear lord!!!! my own damn pantry!!!

So i was cleaning out my spice cabinet which i said to hubby I have more then i use and keep accumulating them and need to relocate to a diff cabinet (was a skinny cabinet w 3 shelves) you never know what you'll need.I saw the dates and remembered this sub.😂 I was thinking, noooo waaay!!! im 45, not a grandma (kiddo is 22) , but damn, here i am..lol..I picked food flair because they didn't have a "spices" flair

Expired 2004, never opened, and cannot be because the cap is broken. Maybe someday I’ll crack the cap off but I may keep this. The chest rub is expired in 2012, half full and perfectly good. That stuff never goes bad.

Found in my friend's family vacation cabin in rural TN

Her grandparents are notorious for being a combo of old money and of the post WWII scarcity mindset. They have a really nice vacation cabin in the mountains of TN that isn't winterized so they only visit a handful of times per year. There's some absolute artifacts in there including this good ol' polyethylene plastic wrap with a coupon that expired in 1976 💀

Ridiculous overcharging!

$10.19 for three skeins of yarn originally priced at $2.29 each. The last Ames store closed in 2002, that yarn is old enough to drink!

$80 for a broken sewing machine in a Population 700 poor town.
