One of the most important things in running a Barbershop and probably the hardest part without a doubt, is finding a team of reliable, trustworthy, loyal and genuine people. Can’t stress that enough! God has Blessed us with all of that and more with each one of our barbers. We don’t hire based off talent, clientele or social media presence. Thats built over time. But your character; that’s planted inside of you long before picking up clippers.

We’ve been through a lot with our Barbers, personally and professionally. We’ve watched them come straight out of school with no clients to filling up their schedules every week. We’ve seen them get their license, go on rent, have their first baby, turn 21, retire from the military and even get married. To share some of life’s biggest milestones with your team is such a Blessing. It builds a relationship and a bond the goes far beyond the professional side of this business. When we look at our team, we don’t just see Barbers, we see a group of men that have embodied what we saw in our vision of The Parlor before opening, to an extended part of our immediate family. We are Grateful beyond words for each of them and their families. Without them these 9 years wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you and we love you boys!

Family!

My wife and I along with a barber who used to work at our shop and his girlfriend are putting together a Hair and Lifestyle Expo under our Partnered Business call ATG: The Aloha Together Group. We created this group in hopes to build a stronger community not just in Hawaii’s hair industry but for like minded creatives and entrepreneurs across the state and beyond.

The Expo will be held on November 12th at Moani Waikiki. We’re currently looking for Vendors and Sponsors for this event. If you got a small business and are looking to network and build your brand this will be a great opportunity to meet awesome people.
