The best color appointments take patience… and snacks.
Did a MAJOR transformation on my lovely lady
I was so glad she trusted me throughout this long process, I had many helping hands for this one so huge thank you to .ysky_ & .n01 🫶🫶🫶
Started by going in with color gel oils clear and 20 vol that got us to a nice peachy lvl 7-8 all over!
Washed and applied a bleach wash on damp hair using Blonde IQ and 20 vol to push it just a little lighter for a clean canvas.
That got her to a decent level 9 with warmth.
Next I pre-toned at the bowl ,slightly, with Strength cure BLONDE & their color fanatic Blue depositing mask.
Formula breakdown:
Lightner - Up to 7 with 15 vol
ALL SHADES ALK
Base - 7N
Lowlight - 7NB + 6G
Glossed with shades eq 9M

Lady bug hair 🐞
Previously split dye, this color took love & dedication!
I first had to fill her faded copper blonde with 6CB in shades eq, then went back in bleaching the underneath halo section with blonde iq & 20 vol for her root & 10 vol with olaplex on the mids & ends.
While that processed I colored the top with Shades ALK in 4N + 4NA
Rinsed everything… carefully
Toned her with 10NP + 9M + 000 for 20 minutes
Used Fireball + Pyro + Nuclear to create our firey red dip dye!

It’s crazy to think I’ve only been at B.Monroe for 8 months because of how much growth, inspiration, and support I’ve found here already.

There’s something really special about being surrounded by individuals who want to uplift the people around them while continuing to grow themselves.
B.Monroe isn’t just a building or a business. It’s the heart and soul of so many hardworking, caring, creative people who make it such an amazing place to work, relax, treat yourself, and connect with others. Without them, we wouldn’t be nearly as strong!
I’ve met so many incredible new friends and faces here already, and I’m so excited to continue growing,not only as a stylist, but as a friend and someone people can truly rely on.

Sometimes, I’m going to say no…and this is why!!
My client originally wanted to go back blonde, but after seeing what was underneath that faded brown box color (old platinum + faded pink previously), I was not comfortable aggressively lightening her hair in one appointment.
Her hair was extremely porous, compromised, and at high risk for breakage, so instead of forcing a blonde correction that could’ve damaged her hair beyond repair, we pivoted.
Instead, I created a rich dimensional bronde that gave her shine, depth, softness, and a MUCH healthier overall result 🤎
As stylists, protecting the integrity of the hair has to come before chasing an unrealistic end goal in one session. Sometimes the healthiest transformation is the prettier one too 👏
We focused on rebuilding warmth, evening out the canvas, and creating a stronger foundation for any future lightening goals instead of sacrificing her hair trying to get there immediately.
