Slowly building my Wild Flower book collection 📚. I have my eye on the Audubon Society Field Guide to Wild Flowers. I have found most of my books second hand at library book sales or thrift shops. I know I’ll find it 🌸✨

I’m making a violet infused oil to have on hand to help swollen glands to move lymph fluid. Also helps resolve mastitis and dissolve cysts✨
I’m making a Dandelion infused oil to create a mild pain relieving balm🌼✨
There are so many other ways to use the leaves and blooms. I will definitely share as I explore them.

I have followed late Herbalist, Juliette de Baïracli Levy✨ for years and one of her books is called The Complete Herbal Handbook for the Dog and Cat. In it she describes her Afghan Hounds and her amazement watching them carefully select medicinal plants. They knew where to find them and how to use them (meaning the amount to be eaten to serve it’s purpose)✨

It fascinates me to watch Rosie select her Dandelions, she only eats two or three. Other herbs besides Dandelions that Juliette mentions for dogs are, Couch grass when they’re in need of a cleanse. Cleavers is another and rich in copper. Lemon grass, fennel, mustard, strawberry and borage are among other herbs.

Dogs have such instinctual knowledge on herbal medicine, it’s fascinating to witness🥰
