Husking the nuts is the first step of the production line. I just found this old photo and it makes me choke with laughter. Together Kollette and I trying to keep up with dozens of macnuts rolling by reminds me of a Laverne and Shirley episode. Kollette is as cool as a cucumber while I am in panic. You can tell who has more experience in this field. Quality control all the way!⁣⠀

This little beach has brought so many delightful memories to our tribe of families in South Kona. Once you enter the threshold you instantly sense the love and respect our locals have for the land. It is also the entrance to the dolphins resting bay. Tucked in the back there's a community garden with an abundance of vegetables and greens. This is a perfect example for healthy public space. ⁣⠀ ⁣

Another curiosity from nature’s creation, Jabuticaba Fruit is anti-inflammatory, and full of great antioxidants. It is an anti-aging fruit with similar health benefits like cranberries. The fruit grows from the trunk of the tree. Here the flowers are blooming before the fruits are formed. I took this photo in January, the next photo was take today....amazing isn’t it. It is recognized as a tree grape. The skins that are normally disposed of are loaded with vitamins. We hope to use this powerful fruit in our new facial masks.

My home is made out of 80% repurposed materials from remodels or construction waste. We collected enough elements to build a house and mindfully design its space.⁣ It’s been the perfect home to raise my 3 children in and being mortage-free is ideal for a single-parents budget.⁣
This mindset has directed us on how to efficiently grow our business productively and successful within a restrained budget. For all those who have been bootstrapping their business you know that there is no room for wasteful thinking. ⁣When it comes to our sustainable farming practices our goal is to maintain health and respect not just for what is being farmed but also for the environment and the community.
