Owning a business is so much more than just “doing hair”

I love doing people’s hair, I love the confidence it gives them, and I love knowing that I helped make them feel beautiful. But it’s so much more than that.

There’s so much work that goes on behind the scenes. The constant phone ringing, bookkeeping and tax info, ordering supplies, content creation, and now renovating the salon 👀

Please be patient with me as it is a lot, and I’m only one person. But I do all of this hoping it helps you have the best experience when you’re in my salon 💗

I’m not saying extensions are cheap — they’re a luxury. They shouldn’t be cheap.

The price of extensions has been a hot topic for a while… many people saying that clients are “price gouging” or “scamming people” when in reality there is so much work going on behind the scenes.

I came in on my day off to prep these extensions and that part of the job clients typically don’t see. And I wash them all individually to make sure the protective film is fully off. That typically takes at least an hour just to wash. This is all taken into consideration when pricing is set.

So before you complain about how expensive it is please take into consideration the work that your stylist does 💗

P.S. we deserve a livable wage too,, I shouldn’t be charging less just because people think it’s expensive to get their hair done. I also have to keep my lights on at home 🫠
