Amber Moon remained at 11 Island St until 2000 when they needed to move due to the sale of the land the building was on. Amber Moon packed up and moved to its new location at 93 Main St under the Colonial Theatre and Brewbaker's coffee shop in 2000 where it remained open until 2005. Lorraine and her wife Jacqueline (who is an award winning hairstylist) opened Salon Jacqué in Brattelboro VT at 6 Elliot St. 2005 to current. The opportunity to reopen Amber Moon in the same location became available and they both decided to "come home" to Keene once again... and the rest is history. We have [re]opened AMBER MOON in the exact same location

Downtown Keene is open for business, and on-street parking along Main Street and Central Square is now free for up to two hours through December 31, 2026.
To keep downtown businesses easily accessible during construction, the City Council approved this two-hour courtesy parking window. Drivers must still register their vehicle license plate using the ParkMobile app, a nearby parking kiosk/paystation, or text-to-park. The two-hour time limit remains in effect to ensure regular turnover for business customers throughout the day. If you plan to stay longer than two hours, convenient multi-hour parking remains available in our Commercial Street and Gilbo Avenue public parking lots. Detailed parking locations and maps are available on the Parking Services page at KeeneNH.gov/parking

Keene Council Approves Free Downtown Parking Through 2026 Amid Central Square Construction - My Keene Now The Keene City Council approved free on-street parking downtown through the end of 2026 as construction continues in Central Square, while also addressing Thompson Road, affordable housing, community grants, public safety and several other city matters Thursday night.
