Time for a change. This busy momma wanted to dial down her usual intense blonde to a softer grow out. As much as she loves coming to see me, this makes for a more practical upkeep. She’s in loooove! 🖤
Two stylists one braincell and endless formula possibilities!

✨ Everyone meet Mia! ✨ This soft spoken sweetheart is our newest edition to the Dark Horse family.
Mia will be a senior this coming year and she is taking Cosmetology 2 at the Cheshire Career Center. Mia already took the Cosmetology 1 course and found her passion. While taking her class last year she met different mentors. During that time she quickly realized the different salons she did not align with and where she would not receive the education she thrived for.
I feel truly blessed that so many young stylists that are eager to learn reach out to us. To all of the students from the Cheshire Career Center that did email or came directly into the salon, I wish I could hire all of you! I’m so proud of you and the drive you show to further your education. I’m happy I could point each of you in the direction of salons that will help nurture your quest for skills for success. Keep it up!
Mia has proven that she is hungry to learn and customer service is the first and most valuable skill to learn. So thank you for being patient with her when she is the one answering our phones or checking you in for your appointments.
As we continue to grow we look forward to seeing you at Dark Horse Salon! 🌱🖤
The prettiest salon mascot is Nina! She hangs out with us sometimes. Nina loves to greet new clients and belly rubs. She might even talk back to you! She’s a service dog enjoying retirement as a pampered salon dog! 🌱🖤

✨ Another successful curly cut! It’s been a LONG road with this goddess. She came to me after a bleach and cut gone wrong years ago which left her curls destroyed and fried. Since then we have rehabbed and richened up her hair to this perfect color. She decided to give her curls another chance and she’s in love!
After much conversation with my curly girls I’ve decided to make a luxury curly cut one of my services. You can now book for your own luxury curly cut at Dark Horse Salon! 🌱🖤
