How dare hairstylists…⬇️ How dare we… 🤑 Raise our prices when our costs increase 🤑 Start charging for (once free??) services like blow drying and styling 🤑 Enforce Cancellation Fees when someone No Shows us. But what’s the real reason hairstylists are charging 27% more from 2019 to 2024? I have a different point of view that shares the real stories of our Industry’s price increases. In a world of modern blonding, it’s easy to forget about the value of a well-executed “classic” service. I think it’s so important to learn & understand how to do BOTH. The more we know, the better equipped we are to handle ANYTHING that hits our chair. The reason these raw-lift slices didn’t look a stripey yellow mess is because: 1️⃣ the slices were THIN 2️⃣ I used my tail comb to squeegee off excess color before applying the lightener This allows for even saturation which = even lift. Thin “squeegeed” sections also = less swelling & lighter foils, which = highlights that are close to the scalp with no bleeders #emchenhair #saloneducation
