Beautiful Abby's homecoming hair, the theme was Old Hollywood, fun!! I will say though, it's really not difficult at all to make this girl look beautiful!

With the weather getting cooler it's SO important to moisturize Moisturize MOISTURIZE!!! The dry air outside mixed with more frequent heat styling can dehydrate your shiny soft locks leaving then dull, rough, and brittle. You can avoid this by simply trying a few things.

*Try only shampooing your hair every other day, your scalp won't be as oily in the fall/winter so it's a great time to try this. There are fantastic dry shampoos on the market now also (especially Indies fresh smelling dry shampoo spray!!).

*Work an oil into your styling routine! Put it on your hair while it's still wet and your hair will absorb all the goodness...you can also add some to your conditioner in the shower! You can also use some oils lightly when your hair is dry to smooth out frizz, lay down fly-always, and add a layer of protection from the cold dry air. Some are even multi-purpose and you can use them on your body also, just be sure to read the label to make sure it's not too heavy for your hair;). ColorProf makes a fantastic multipurpose oil that combats frizz, saturates strands with hydration without weighing them down, and smells fantastic!

*Try a cleansing balm! People tend to be skeptical of these because they aren't shampoo, but the key is that it's an intensely moisturizing, conditioning balm that cleanses (cleans) the scalp without all the color stripping, drying, unhealthy sulfates. Uniq is a new company from Spain and their cleansing balm One is my favorite!

*Because keeping your hair moisturized and healthy in the colder, dryer months is so important, my clients will receive a deep moisturizing conditioner for free when they receive any other service (deep conditioner value is $30 with a blowdry/style).
