Sometimes the thing that hurts your feelings is the same thing that pushes you into your next season.
Not every setback is a sign to stop.
Not every criticism deserves the power to make you question yourself.
And not every person who tries to dim your light gets to decide what happens next.
Sometimes their words become fuel.
Sometimes the closed door redirects you.
Sometimes the moment you thought would embarrass you ends up introducing you to people who were meant to find you.
So if you’re in a season where something feels unfair, discouraging, or personal… keep going.
You may not be able to see it yet, but this could be the very moment that pushes you to show up louder, believe in yourself deeper, and step into opportunities you never would have reached otherwise.
Don’t let one person’s opinion become the reason you quit.
Let it remind you why you started. 🤍

Full glam doesn’t have to mean feeling like a completely different person. ✨
When she told me she wanted full glam but rarely wears makeup, my first thought wasn’t “How much makeup can I put on her?”
It was, “How can I give her the glam she wants while still making sure she feels comfortable and like herself?”
Then she said the words every makeup artist loves to hear:
“Do it however you want. I trust your judgment.” 🥹
That trust means so much to me because makeup isn’t one-size-fits-all. I’m looking at your features, your proportions, your shade, your comfort level and then creating a look specifically for YOU.
Full glam. Still her. Just elevated. ✨
And I think we nailed it. 🥹🙌✨

That’s all it took to completely change how the eye perceived her face.
Same face.
Same blush.
Same product.
Different placement.
Neither placement changes her actual facial structure.
It changes how we perceive it.
And this is why I always say: great makeup isn’t just about knowing how to blend.
It’s understanding why you’re placing something where you’re placing it.
Stop asking, “Where does blush go?”
Start asking:
“What am I trying to create?”
That’s the difference between following steps and understanding the artistry behind them. 🤎
