I’m excited to give an update. I decided a few months ago that I needed to sell Pilea Salon. It has definitely been bitter sweet. This salon has been part of my life, my creation for 23 years. I originally started it when my daughter was about 8 months old. I grew it from the original 6 stations to expanding it to 13 stations. I then moved Pilea to a new build and got to create a whole new salon. Sadly I needed to sell because of a divorce but it was ok because growing this business allowed me to make a home for my children and myself. I continued to work in this industry that I love so much but a couple of years later I was diagnosed with cancer. That was a tough few years. After getting back on my feet I decided to open up another salon. This was going to be my last salon. I got lucky and found an amazing location in downtown Kennewick. Being a Kennewick girl that was always my dream to be part of the revitalization of downtown. I wanted to give back to the city that I grew up in. I loved working downtown and I have had the absolute pleasure to work with some amazingly talented stylist and lovely ladies over the years. I have also been so lucky to to have meet so many incredible people that started out as clients but became my friends/family. I can’t thank you all enough for the continued love and support. A second bout of cancer came up almost two years ago and I am happy to say I’m still cancer free. However it once again changed my direction. I decided to sell. The sale was official today. I’m sad but relieved that I will hand over the rains once again. The new owner Laura will do an amazing job. I’m not ready to retire so I starting Tuesday at my new studio in my house. It’s time for me to slow down a little bit. Enjoy my life. enjoy my clients. Enjoy my work and enjoy my time. Let me be clear. I am not retiring. I am just slowing down a little bit. I hope to see you all at the new location and again thank you so much for all of your support over the years! ❤️
