Why open a head spa?

I know it’s been a bit of a shocker to people that I would go from bartending from 18-30 to opening a spa. I told almost everyone I was just swamped from working 3 jobs. That was true for a while but behind the scenes I was going to school and renovating a business. I didn’t let the cat out of the bag until about 2 weeks before my grand opening.

My most asked question is what made me open a spa? Of all things right lbvs

One day I was getting a facial from Esthi Vibes x Odalys and I knew her birthday was coming up soon so I asked what she was doing for it? Her response was going to a head and scalp spa in Milwaukee. I had never heard of a head spa before and was intrigued. I’m a big advocate for self care. So I went home that day and started watching videos on TikTok because it’s a viral service on there. Then I went out and got one. Immediately I loved it! I started to think Milwaukee or Chicago is a tad far… why don’t we have one here?

Ever since I was a teenager I always wanted a job where I could help people. Over the years I was honestly just trying to survive and lost purpose of what I wanted to do. My favorite part about doing a head spa service is that it has the ability to destress and relax people so that they leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Sometimes it can feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders weather that’s work, family, kids, ect. Some hard days you just need that 1 hour of relaxation to change your mindset or mood. I love to see the smile on my clients face as they leave. That’s the gift I found I give people through self-care and it bring me joy. It’s brought me back to living with a purpose and I’ll be forever grateful that god did that for me.
