Hello Everyone! I hope you are all well and are having a great Labor Day weekend :) I just wanted to post an update that I have begun soaping again and have several soaps curing right now. I will be making quite a few more soaps and will let you know the date of my next release. I have a helper, my son, who is assisting & learning how to soap as well. So, I just wanted to say 'hi' and let you know that you'll see new products on here soon! Much love!!!

Due to health problems, Lux & Lather Handmade Artisan Soaps & Candles is closed until further notice.

I just wanted to update you all and let you know that there will still be a release prior to the Holidays, but this year has not been what I thought it would be. Moving & settling into our new place took up most of this year and I just spent the past week in ICU at Ahuja's University Hospital Medical Center which was quite unexepected.
Please bear with me and I hope you understand that I am trying and that I will do all that I am able.

'Black Figure' & 'Red Figure', inspired by Ancient Greek pottery like those shown below.
The first soaps I've ever made with beeswax & bee pollen in them and I'll tell you...I was scared to death they would seize or do something funky!
They are both scented only with essential oils that have been documented to have been in Ancient Greece in the 5th Century BC.
Both were made with an herbal decoction as the H20 for the soaps(again all herbs used have been documented to have been in Ancient Greece in the 5th century B.C.) -quite an extensive list of herbs & essential oils that I will list.
Greek extra virgin olive oil, Goat's Milk & 'φαγε' Greek yogurt(the only actually GREEK yogurt that is sold in my area. Finely ground rosehips & Rosehip seed oil, brick red oxide & black oxide as colourants.
