Good advice and not just for plants. Sometimes we feel droopy too and a little extra water and TLC really help ;)

It’s been quite hot so if you’ve transplanted recently, your plants may be looking a little droopy. Here are a few tips to help them get through this: 1) While you don’t want to drown your plants, they do need a little extra water because of the heat and shock of transplanting. 2) You might try “misting” to cool them off which I think works especially well for peas and lettuce. 3) the most ideal time to water is in the morning but you should water any time of the day when plants are showing signs of water stress. We water our plants throughout the day. 4) hopefully you “hardened” off your plants (gradually exposing them to direct sunlight, wind, etc) before transplanting. If you are planning to transplant soon, made sure you take the time to do that. 5) if plants look stressed and you’re able, give them some shade. 6) I always prefer to plant in the evenings, ideally when the next day might be cloudy. I’m planning to get everything finished planting tonight 🤞. Any other advice for getting new transplants through a hot spell?
